WHAT YOU'LL BE QUALIFIED FOR
- Engineering officer on vessels with main propulsion power under 750 kW
- Officer roles on coastal merchant vessels, offshore support and service vessels (Baltic Sea area)
- Officer on crew transfer vessels (CTV) — offshore wind sector
- Eligible to become Chief Engineer on vessels under 750 kW after meeting sea service requirements
WHAT'S INCLUDED
- EU officer's licence — Latvian Maritime Administration & Ministry of Education accredited
- Full engine room competency: machinery operation & maintenance, watchkeeping, safety management, crew supervision
- Online theory + practical exams and assessments in Riga
- 6 months sea practice

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
- Stand engine room watches and monitor all operating parameters.
- Plan and carry out maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical and electronic systems.
- Manage fuel, lubricants and spare parts.
- Communicate effectively in English on all technical matters.
- Prevent pollution and ensure environmental compliance.
- Maintain vessel seaworthiness.
- Fight fires and operate life-saving equipment.
- Provide first aid.
- Lead your team and ensure safety on board.

ℹ Experience: Motorman qualification or equivalent sea time

WHERE THIS LEADS
