Able Seaman
Your First Step to a Global Career at Sea

What if you could start earning money on international ships in just a few months — with no experience required?
Most people spend years wondering how to break into a well-paid career. Meanwhile, our Able Seaman graduates are already working on cargo ships, tankers and passenger vessels around the world — earning USD 800–1,300 per month during their very first sea practice.
This program is built for people who are ready to take action. You don’t need maritime experience. You don’t need an engineering degree. You just need the drive to start something new.
WHAT THIS PROGRAM GIVES YOU
✓ An internationally recognised STCW qualification that lets you work on commercial vessels anywhere in the world — no tonnage or area restrictions.
✓ Hands-on skills: mooring, steering, cargo operations, firefighting, emergency response and first aid.
✓ Paid sea practice on real commercial ships (USD 800–1,300/month).
✓ A clear path to promotion — this is your gateway to becoming a Deck Officer.
HOW IT WORKSThe shore training program takes just 2-3 months. Theory is taught online, so you can study from anywhere. Then you come to Riga, Latvia for practical lessons and school assessments. After that, you go straight to sea practice on a commercial vessel — and you get paid for it too! After that, you will need to sit your exams in Latvian Maritime Administration and get Certificate of Proficiency.
All our programs are accredited by the Latvian Maritime Administration (EU) and comply with STCW Convention standards. Your qualification is real, recognised, and respected worldwide.
WHERE THIS TAKES YOU
As a certified Able Seaman, you can work on any size vessel, anywhere in the world. But that’s just the beginning. With sea time under your belt, you qualify to train as a Deck Officer — commanding the bridge, navigating international waters, and earning significantly more.
Many of our graduates are now officers on international vessels. Your journey to the bridge starts here.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
You’re a good fit if you want to travel the world and get paid for it, want a career that doesn’t require years of university, are looking for a real, practical qualification you can use right away, or are a non-EU citizen looking for a legal EU training path.
PROGRAM DETAILS
Duration: 4-5 months (including 2 months of paid sea practice)
Minimum age: 16 years
Education required: Basic or secondary education
Program fee: €1,500
Places are limited. New groups start regularly, but each intake has a small number of spots to keep training personal and effective. Once the current group is full, you’ll need to wait for the next one.
Don’t wait until you’re “ready.” The best time to start a career at sea is now. Every month you delay is a month of income and experience you won’t get back.

Deck Officer
Take Command of Your Career

What does it take to go from a deck rating to the officer standing on the bridge? Less than you think.
If you already hold an Able Seaman qualification (or equivalent sea time), you’re closer to an officer’s license than you realise. The Deck Officer program is your next step — and it changes everything: your rank, your responsibilities, your income, and the respect you carry on board.
This is the program that turns experienced crew into leaders.
WHAT THIS PROGRAM GIVES YOU
✓ A Deck Officer license for vessels up to 500 GT in coastal navigation — qualifying you to serve as deck officer or Master.
✓ Full bridge competency: navigation, watchkeeping, cargo planning, radio communications, safety management and crew supervision.
✓ The legal authority to command a vessel in Baltic sea waters.
✓ A clear stepping stone toward unlimited tonnage officer roles (<3,000 GT without navigation range limitation and beyond).HOW IT WORKS
The shore training program takes 2 months, and then 6 months of sea practice. Theory is delivered online. Exams and practical assessments happen in Riga, Latvia. You’ll train with experienced maritime instructors in small groups — no crowded lecture halls, no wasted time.
The program is designed in modular structure so you can learn modules between your voyages in the current rank.
Your qualification is accredited by the Latvian Maritime Administration, supervised by the Latvian Ministry of Education, and fully compliant with STCW Convention standards. It’s an EU-recognised credential that opens doors worldwide.
WHERE THIS TAKES YOU
As a licensed Deck Officer, you’re no longer just part of the crew. You’re the one making decisions on the bridge. You handle navigation, manage safety, lead your team, and take responsibility for the vessel. That’s a level of authority and respect that few careers can match.
And it doesn’t stop here. With additional sea time, you can upgrade to Deck Officer <3,000 GT — and eventually to Chief Officer or Master of larger ships.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
Navigate vessels in coastalwaters and stand bridge watch. Plan and manage cargo operations. Use radio communications for routine and emergency situations. Supervise crew members and maintain vessel documentation. Respond to emergencies, fight fires, maintain seaworthiness. Operate life-saving equipment and provide medical first aid on board.
